Buddhist teachings say that disappointment comes from expectation; an attachment to an idea that something should be a certain way. If it is not as good as expected then it is harder to enjoy.


It is hard to ignore a forecasted swell when there is a big onion low in the Tasman and 100km/h offshore winds in the days leading upto its arrival.



It was weaker than expected and peaked early Monday arvo with 4 ft sets at Sandon. Those who were getting amongst it certainly didn’t look disappointed. Who cares what could have been…
