Finally the elements have combined to give us 2-3ft of clean easterly waves. The breeze was a puffing souwest and the skies clear. There were plenty of waves going in the last couple of mornings…
Perfect conditions for the school holidays with reports of waves at many locations and the sets head high for a grom. The predictions are for plenty more in the next week too…

An amazing amount of seaweed has washed into southwest corners with Macauley’s almost completely covered in a brown slimy mass.

If there is some swell at the Point, Clarrie will be there to capture it on pixels. Unfortunately on Sunday the swell and light was not the best for recording the boardriders comp.
Another institution at the point is Willy’s Jetty Cafe. Serving egg and bacon rolls and sausage sangers to the hungry during board rider’s comps.

Early Sunday the wind was south west as predicted and the swell still an unreliable 3ft from the east.

There were some good sets and clean conditions at sunrise but they didn’t hold up long enough for the local comp through the day…
